Oats Mung Dal Tikki is a light, nutritious and easy-to-digest snack made with rolled oats, soaked mung dal, fresh vegetables and minimal oil. Ingredients

½ cup rolled oats (powdered)

½ cup yellow mung dal (soaked 2–3 hours and ground)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small carrot, grated

2 tbsp coriander leaves

1 green chilli (optional)

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

1 tsp oil
Instructions

Soak mung dal for 2–3 hours and grind into a smooth batter.

Dry roast the oats lightly and grind into coarse powder.

Mix the dal batter, oats powder, vegetables, spices and salt.

Shape small tikkis and place them on a hot non-stick tawa.

Drizzle a few drops of oil and cook on both sides till golden brown.

Serve hot with mint chutney or a bowl of curd.
