  • Leftover cooked rice (about 2-3 tablespoons)
  • Water (enough to soak the rice)
  • A mud pot or clay pot (optional, for traditional fermentation)

  1. Prepare the rice:
    • Take 2-3 tablespoons of leftover cooked and cooled rice.
    • Ensure the rice is not too hot; it should be at room temperature.
  2. Soak the rice:
    • Place the rice in a mud pot (or any small bowl or jar).
    • Add enough water to soak the rice completely.
  3. Cover and let it ferment:
    • Cover the pot or bowl with a lid or cloth.
    • Leave it to soak and ferment overnight at room temperature.
  4. Fermentation:
    • By the following morning, the rice will have fermented, creating a probiotic-rich drink.

    • In the morning, take 2 tablespoons of the fermented rice along with the water.
