Description

Spinach Tofu Tikki is a healthy, protein-rich vegetarian snack made with spinach and tofu. It’s light on calories, easy to digest, and perfect for weight management, hormone health, and muscle support.


Ingredients

  • Spinach (palak) – 1 cup, finely chopped

  • Firm tofu – 100 g, crumbled

  • Onion – 1 tbsp, finely chopped

  • Green chilli – ½ tsp, finely chopped (optional)

  • Ginger – ½ tsp, grated

  • Cumin powder – ¼ tsp

  • Black pepper – ¼ tsp

  • Garam masala – a pinch

  • Salt – to taste

  • Rice flour or besan flour – 1 tbsp (binding)

  • Oil – 1 tsp (for shallow pan-frying)


Instructions

  1. Blanch spinach in hot water for 30 seconds, drain well, squeeze out excess water, and chop finely.

  2. In a bowl, combine spinach, crumbled tofu, ginger, spices, salt, and rice/besan flour.

  3. Mix well and shape into 2  tikkis.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan, add oil, and shallow fry on medium flame.

  5. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.

  6. Serve warm with mint chutney or Yoghurt dip.
